Yeah... I thought this studio was going to be the “Sony Santa Monica” of Xbox but personally I prefer FPS which is kinda why Prefer Xbox anyway. I’m more interested in what they will do differently
Imagine Sony fanboys trashing this...when the game is developed by a studio where most of the people worked on their precious Ps4 exclusives lmao Sony fanboys are not only pathetic, but inconsistent lol
@Just a normal Weeb Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones was Legit Fantastic though, so was Shinobi, Aliens Vs Predator 1 & 2 (let’s forget the double titled AVP3 (they literally just went with Aliens Vs Predator again) DOOM 3. (Yes, it, along with all the DLC, was a remake) Tomb Raider Anniversary (in my own opinion) and Maximo 1 & 2
@Jack D Yeah, the original GOW trilogy is actually good. It used to be that good Beat em up game, which had satisfying combat even if we fought same enemies. But, when I saw GOW 4 gameplay I literally cringed to the fourth dimension, that they changed the genre from beat em up to walking simulator.
@PHXNTXM at least they're fixing the visuals for that game now. I heard that they're fixing the character models, adding better contrast so it doesn't look so bland, and fixing a lot of lighting and textures, and foliage.
Perfect Dark is set in a time where the world is ruled by corrupt corporations and it was very much a Cyberpunk game. most of the product's of the 90's were very Anti-corporate and cyberpunk 2077 just launched with Doom enteral coming at the start of this year. Doom Also has called out corporate culture over the years and even mocking it since the game is literally about the Union Aerospace Corporation opening a portal to hell. loads of people have been asking for perfect dark to return and it's the perfect time for it to make a come back
@Logan Par Halo isn’t what it is used to be. Halo used to define the FPS genre, now it’s not even a top contender anymore. The franchise has been on a downward spiral ever since Bungie left and 343 took over, so you bringing Halo into the conversation is anything but a strong point.
@arif mohammed yes I know why they do it but it doesn't make it good. Look at how resident evil 2 remake first got announced, that was great people were extremely excited and there was no CGI. Look at monster hunter, Batman arkham city, devil may cry all had great announcement trailers with no CGI. I mean what had a better announcement the last god of war at e3 or ragnarok?
@arif mohammed companies release CG trailers because they are easy not because they are great marketing tools. Basically the complaint at any game conference that is underwhelming is that there wasn't enough in game content. Do you think that's good marketing, to have people complain they didn't see any of the actual games running?
One good game and one bad... It's a coin flip really, but I'll say this, Devs need to quit with the cinematic trailers. To set the tone.. Yeah right, the only way that set any kind of tone for a game is if they are making a new forsaken. In reality it's just another generic ass fps and it doesnt even remind me of perfect dark... Which was literally just a 007 clone.
@arif mohammed what makes you think that I: A) care which machine you want to play on? And B) give a flying fuck what you think anyway? Also what the fuck does that have to do with literally anything I said by any stretch of logic?
I disagree. I enjoyed it. Them telling you it’s a spy game and it uses verticality and movement sounds unique. What games are like that? They actually point that out saying there isn’t anything in games like that anymore. Considering the team is made of vets who made Tomb Raider, GTA, God of War, I think I’ll give them a shot.
But it makes no sense to be this harsh on even though it's literally just a cinematic trailer, the game hasn't even come out yet and you're already calling it a generic shooter off of 40 sec of CGI. Chill
Yes I fucking hate CGI trailers, if you have nothing to show of the actual game don't show it. I don't mind cinematic trailers if it using actual in game footage and assets but if you don't have that then don't show anything
@Ryley Hawke Sony changed the style of God of War and it was successful. The fps games are becoming too over saturated and stale. I'm betting it's a third person action game because of the people involved with the development worked on Tomb Raider.
@KYTim89 well the deaths talking about the game before the trailer started, we're talking about how first person shooters defined gaming or something like that. So I think it's still going to be first person

Am I the only one getting Black Mirror vibes? God I hope this is good.
im gonna COOOOOOOOM
Me too mate!
I would have preferred 3rd person shooter. It gives more personality
Hell no this game needs to be an fps that's its original version
Yeah... I thought this studio was going to be the “Sony Santa Monica” of Xbox but personally I prefer FPS which is kinda why Prefer Xbox anyway. I’m more interested in what they will do differently
Doesnt feel like Perfect Dark... I'm sad.
It’s a reboot though.
It's a trailer you daft knobhead
I'm so sick of these cinematic trailers. Wow, a building... HOW INTERESTING! Fuck off, show me gameplay.
OH LAWDZ
Uhhhhh....meh?
I should have known MS wasn't going to ignore the Perfect Dark license, but I'm still surprised this was The Initiative's project.
Imagine Sony fanboys trashing this...when the game is developed by a studio where most of the people worked on their precious Ps4 exclusives lmao Sony fanboys are not only pathetic, but inconsistent lol
@P Roh Dusah you mean communist democrats trying to take our firearms then hand our sovereignty over to china?
@P Roh Dusah more like democrats
theyre the republicans of gaming
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I love Perfect Dark
Ok thats it. Where's fucking syphon filter! Do it! Do ittttt!
Wait, wait, WAIT! ha ha! Finally a game worth buying an xbox for
@arif mohammed and yet they don't make that many sales with there is anymore....
@arif mohammed agreed
@#FreeMelee 👍
@VYSHNAV JITHESH Yep
@Yvng Samurai720 ok fair point........ but PC or xbox the money till goes to microsoft so win win for them
LOL where are the aliens lmbo
Can't wait
Eh.
I love seeing old franchises being reborn. Hopefully it's good.

@wantsome7655 I was making a joke because every game in the 2000s and early 2010s were remakes of old games and I don’t play fortnight
@Just a normal Weeb Shouldn't you be playing Fortnite? What are you doing wasting your time commenting here?
Oh god it’s the 2000s again
Kinda feels like a weird rip off of harmony and ghost in the shell
You would think by now Microsoft would stop using fucking CG trailers. You would think they would have something to show from an actual game by now
She ah. . . not British anymore?
Laurence Bouvard is not british
Doubt it will be better than the original. That was classic!
@Nat the staff looks great for this one, but 90's Rare is some stiff competition
Ricardo SV Exactly!
I want 3rd person
It'll all depend on how nostalgia biased people are, people like to compare instead of taking something for its own
I think it will be better honestly. Got better talent behind it
This isn't gonna save xbox lol
@sai venkat you know those Playstation gamers enjoy $70 walking simulators. I thought the original trilogy was fun too. I lost all interest in gow.
@Charles Stanford he's probably excited for God of War 15. He probably liked the last God of War because you fight the same guy 5 times.
@arif mohammed no we still need competition even the annoying fanboys pledge alligiances to a piece of plastic
being born didnt save your life
Perfect Dark is a game for a very specific time, I just don't see how it could translate to this gen
@SkankHunt42 it's hard to explain, to me there's something specific about Perfect Dark that I feel wouldn't translate as well as Doom has
@PHXNTXM at least they're fixing the visuals for that game now. I heard that they're fixing the character models, adding better contrast so it doesn't look so bland, and fixing a lot of lighting and textures, and foliage.

I guess all the 80s/90s retrofuturism revival going on lately has failed to translate too, which is why Stranger Things was such a bust.
Gamespot you are utterly useless, so the fact that there's 35 seconds of dead air at the start of this video doesn't surprise me. Delete your channel.
Wow, a cinematic trailer...... doesn't represent the product at all......why bother
@Just A Blind Man I understand it is supposed to set the tone, it still is a shitty way to reveal a game.
@vin zig if you understood what he said at the beginning you would understand that this teaser was supposed to set up the tone...
Killzone 2. The devs were aghast at Sony for that.
@arif mohammed yes I know why they do it but it doesn't make it good. Look at how resident evil 2 remake first got announced, that was great people were extremely excited and there was no CGI. @DeuceDrop logic is flawed if you responded to the troll , so you obviously care...

Is this being developed by Rare?
KYTim89 I’m hoping that too!
@Ryley Hawke Sony changed the style of God of War and it was successful. The fps games are becoming too over saturated and stale. I'm betting it's a third person action game because of the people involved with the development worked on Tomb Raider.

who knows, maybe there will be 2 modes (Fps and Tps) in this game.
@KYTim89 Perfect Dark is originally a FPS so it's unlikely to be a tombraider type action game.
